The Hippo & the Computer Mongo by Simon Stålenhag

Simon Stålenhag (born 1984) is a graduate from the Swedish computer games school FutureGames Academy. Simon is a painter of retro-futuristic landscapes as well as an active musician and computer games developer. He currently lives in Stockholm.

About the project

Closing the Gap is part of a series of images called “The Winter of 94-95”. The paintings depict scenes from a grey landscape of a Swedish yesterday where everyday objects naturally co-exist with extraterrestrial-looking machinery and constructions.
